Working from home during COVID-19 meant figuring how to tell stories in new ways. Some days a FaceTime interview would suffice but there were many other opportunities to let people give you a peak into their lives.

Stories you will never forget
As a journalist there are those stories that stick with you through the years, sources that’ll remain in your heart forever. We peak into the lives of people on some of the best and worst days in their worlds. One of my favorite things is asking people about the one story that changed them because it often teaches you a lot about the person behind the camera.
I did this story a while back and have since grown in my technique. However, the core, the movement and the depth of the story holds true. With that said, here’s the story of Sawyer Black. His life, his light and his legacy. Three things I will never forget.
